October 1, 2008
Last November we set out to organize the Mid-American Dirt track Figure Eight Auto
Racing Series Championships. This past weekend, with the help and support of you
drivers and the great efforts by Archie and Sally Kuntz, your MADFEARS
Championship races became an instant classic!
What a great way for the MADFEARS inaugural races to begin … perfect weather …
tremendous turnout … new friendships developed … no mishaps … and great racing
competition! Based on comments by many of you, I believe everyone had a great time
… fans and drivers alike.
Justin "The Iceman" Frost took top prize in the Open Class. Don Wauters edged out Justin Thompson to win the Pro-Stock championship and Mel Simpson took the trophy in the Stock Class.
Accepting awards for MADFEARS point champions were Russell Cline
|
for Stock Class, Don Wauters for Pro-Stock Class and for Creighton Demuth, Skip Blundell for Open Class.
I hope to have pictures from the weekend on our website just as soon as Jason Bryan
from Iowa Krazy Eight Fanatics can filter through all of them and get them to me.
FEAR, LLC plans to meet in the next month to begin preparations for MADFEARS
2009. Any comments, suggestions or ideas you may have to improve next year's
MADFEARS can be emailed to me at fearllc_team@hotmail.com. All requests will be
considered … maybe not implemented … but definitely considered.
I want to thank everyone for helping to make MADFEARS 2008 a dream come true and I
look forward to a bigger and better MADFEARS 2009!
Dirt track figure eight auto racing ... the best damn sport on the planet!
