You must be a current member of FEAR before you receive ANY points for the MADFEARS (Mid American Dirt track Figure Eight Auto Racing Series).

Every race day, each driver who is participating in MADFEARS and begins their HEAT race will receive 20 points. (You MUST make it to the track and begin your HEAT to receive your 20 points).

HEAT finishers will be awarded points as follows:
6 points for 1st
3 points for 2nd
1 point for every position after 2nd place in their Heat race.

The "A MAIN" is the only other race of the night that drivers will be awarded MADFEARS points. Points awarded will be:
3 points for last place and
3 additional points for each place up to the 1st place finisher.

EXAMPLE- In an "A MAIN" race with 10 drivers, each driver will receive points as follows:
1st - 30 points
2nd - 27 points
3rd - 24 points
4th - 21 points
5th - 18 points
6th - 15 points
7th - 12 points
8th -  9 points
9th -  6 points
10th -  3 points

No matter how many cars are in the "A MAIN", the last place will ALWAYS be awarded 3 points and an additional 3 points will be added for each place up through 1st.

Using the MADFEARS point system, a driver who finishes 2nd in their HEAT and places 6th in the "A MAIN" will receive the following points:

20 points for showing up and starting in their HEAT
3 points for 2nd place in their HEAT
15 points for 6th place in the "A MAIN"

The driver will be awarded 38 national FEAR points for the night and if the driver raced at a track in their region they will also earn 38 regional MADFEARS points.
